Eligibility
Applications for Tomorrow Studio tenancy are limited to businesses that:
- Are primarily operating in the digital media industry.
- Are seeking commercial opportunities involving digital media products or services for local or global markets.
- Are registered in South Australia and are non-tax exempt businesses.
- Have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and registered for GST, or prepared to become registered for GST.
- Can provide a basic business plan addressing commercial viability with evidence to support their view of the potential viability and continued growth of the business idea.
Rent subsidy
A rental subsidy is also available to eligible start-up businesses that have not received previous Government rental assistance.
A “start-up” business is generally defined as a business earning revenue for less than three years to the date of application.
An “established” business is generally defined as a business earning revenue for more than three years to the date of application and will not be eligible for rental subsidy.
The rental subsidy is provided as follows:
- Year 1 of tenant occupancy, eligible start-ups will receive a subsidy of 80% of rental (including GST) not inclusive of shared cleaning and utilities expenses.
- Year 2 of tenant occupancy, eligible start-ups will receive a subsidy of 50% of rental (including GST) not inclusive of shared cleaning and utilities expenses.
- Year 3 of tenant occupancy, eligible start-ups will receive a subsidy of 20% of rental (including GST) not inclusive of shared cleaning and utilities expenses.
